Corbett National ParkIn the topography of the state of Uttar Pradesh situated the Corbett National Park spanning the rolling Shivalik Range of the Himalayas about 300 kilometers from New Delhi, positioned as India's first ever national park. Over 580 birds, 25 reptile species and 50 mammals have been listed in the park. The insect life is also surprising, evident especially after the monsoons. But undeniably, the most precious thing of the Corbett is the Indian tiger. During its inception in the year 1984, the tiger population was around 90 in this park.

AgraWake up with bright dreams and have a scrumptious meal before setting out on a long drive to Agra in Uttar Pradesh, India with our GeTS holiday. The city of Agra flourished under the patronage of the emperors Akbar, Jahangir and Shah Jahan and attracted artisans from Persia and central Asia. Agra is still famous for handicrafts products such as inlay work on marble, carpets, jewellery, zari and embroidery work. A few kilometers northwest of Agra lies Sikandra, Akbar's mausoleum. After a traditional breakfast at the Madhogarh Fort hotel, you drive to the Pink City of Rajasthan - Jaipur with the Rajasthan Holiday guide. On arrival in Jaipur, check in at a hotel for an overnight stay. The capital of Rajasthan, Jaipur is built of pink stucco and planned in a grid system with wide avenues. The city has a timeless appeal in its colorful bazaars, the ambling camels and cheerful people in multi hued costumes. Other destinations near Jaipur are, the mausoleum of the Sufi saint, Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti at Ajmer, Pushkar the abode of Lord Brahma and venue for the annual Pushkar Camel fair and a contrast from tradition and religion, and the Ranthambore National Park, a tiger reserve. Course the bazaar trails in Jaipur before retiring for dinner and sleep at the hotel.

Day 06 : Jaipur

JaipurPost breakfast enjoy an elegantly painted elephant ride to the Amber Fort; see the City Palace Complex, Jantar Mantar and Hawa Mahal. The focal point of the city of Jaipur is the Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds, a five storey high Baroque- like structure built to enable the veiled ladies of the harem to observe the street scenes below and remain unnoticed. The City Palace, a wonderful combination of Mughal and Rajput forms of architecture, is now partly a museum housing miniature paintings, manuscripts, Mughal carpets, musical instruments, royal costumes and weapons, giving invaluable insight into Jaipur's royal past. Have your lunch at a traditional Jaipur Haveli, the Mundia House some of the instruments at the astronomical observatory are still used today to forecast the weather and the turns of nature. Jewellery is an integral part of Rajasthani culture. Be it ornaments fit for a queen or a peasant or specially designed anklets for camels and elephants, the ornament industry in Jaipur caters for all. The two traditional techniques of ornamentation this region is famous for is Meenakaari (enamel work) and Kundankaari (inlay work with gems). Day 09 : Udaipur

Day 10 : Udaipur - Rohet
